To make this into a maxi length, I just added 20 inches (I'm 5'6") to the skirt part of the pattern. Since the skirt is straight, you just have to add the length in a straight line. Super easy and it is my new favorite dress!Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I had recently made this dress in the regular pattern length and love it, but thought the maxi length would be more on trend as well as being more versatile in my wardrobe.
What are you most proud of?
I LOVE this dress! I'm also thrilled that several other sewists have made maxi length versions of this pattern now as well. I've never been an inspiration before!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Go for it! This is a super easy dress to make. The pattern is brilliant and well written. It's so easy to lengthen - you won't be able to make just one...
