What materials did you use? Cotton crochet thread, size 10, in 350 yd. (320 m) balls - Light Copper (3-5 balls); and a size 8 (1.40 mm) steel crochet hook.
What are you most proud of? I like how all the pieces fit together and am very happy with how the filet rose came out. The motifs are all crocheted together using the connect-as-you-go technique and the rose panels are crocheted to the motif strips with single crochet so there is no need for sewing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a fun project for the intermediate crocheter. It is offered in two adult sizes (65" and 70" across), and one child size (48" across), perfect for creating a mother-daughter matching shawl. The pattern is available for $4.50 and is written in U.S. terms.
