Materials
Vintage curtain material with a wipe clean nylon lining. I had some brown plastic handles that look like wood. I wanted to use these not only because I had them a long time but I thought they may finish the vintage shopping bag look. This is a very easy shape to cut out and you can cut it to any size......Look at it and it`s almost pear shaped. The only reason It looks as if it`s got arm holes was to fit the handles on, otherwise it could of been straight on the top. Cut four piece`s the same, two for the lining, two for the outside of the bag. Use any handle you like, Make your own or use many of the colourful handles you can buy. One more thing..You may have to put little loops at the top of the bag if you use circle handles. My way is the easy way. Good Luck, have a go.
What was your inspiration?
I hate orange and green together.....It was a fun to find something that worked with this curtain material.
What are you most proud of?
It`s not so bad. It`s growing on me. Great for carrying veg because the inside is easy wipe clean.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It`s only a shopping bag, use any material you like as long as it is strong.
