Kira's pattern is really easy and fun to knit!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick with size 11/8mm needles. You can also used your worsted weight holding two strands together throughout.
It's almost all cable, but don't let that stop you! VERY easy, and reversible!
