|Here are some details about my project:|
What materials did you use? I went to the Sunday market and bought some stretch fabric that looks like the stuff you would have School uniforms made from. Linen look on the front, but smooth and shiny on the reverse, it was a polyester blend and it cost me 4 Euro/m, I thought that the quality would be good enough for one season, and cheep enough to not worry too much about it if it did not work out. The pocket bag was using some off cuts from my Liberty fabric I bought in London that I made as a skirt with using Suzy Furrer's Patternmaking Basics Skirt Sloper class. the thread was from my stash.
What are you most proud of? The zip installation and in general how smooth the process was to recreate a reasonable looking trouser from bottom end fabric.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go through the class methodically. Kenneth guides you along the way and one method leads nicely to the next, to make the process of "practical" from "theory" run smoothly. I used the rewind a lot, but that is because I wanted to get it right first time. Next I will adjust for my asymmetrical hips now I know the method well.
