Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. This is a tree done in the second half of the Imagined Landscape class here at Craftsy. I am happy with the way this turned out although the photo is not showing the colors well. The blue in the tree is deeper and the background is a green blue hue in a pale value. It began with a Bright emerald green underpainting and from there many layers in blue were added. This was very fun to paint. Many layers are done in different values of blue or blue green. On the background one thing I did differently is that I put down color and then used a water bottle to fade the layers a bit. I love this part!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The teacher can be a little annoying with his poor jokes and condescending wit. But after the third lesson he settles down and eases into the painting. I fast forwarded through that part. I had bought the class and stopped because of this until I read a revieew and someone statede that he settles in. He likely was nervous.
