What was your inspiration?
Music is one of the great joys in my life, and in the lives of many of my family and friends. I wanted to create something that would celebrate this without being too over the top kitchy. I think I succeeded!
What are you most proud of?
The many other people who have used the pattern successfully, and been very pleased with the results.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Gauge is the most important thing. I made this fabric very stiff and firm, requiring some really tight knitting, and not everyone achieves the correct gauge. Do a swatch in the palm pattern (both colors) and if the gauge is off, adjust needles or yarn weights until it works. Otherwise, your mittens will not fit!
