Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Mostly quilting cottons, thin batting and stiff duck cloth. The lining was bonded with pellon decor bond.

What are you most proud of? The Echino fabric with the rhinoceros was the starting point. Then I pulled from my stash.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Sewing on the leather bottom! I eliminated the bottom seam and bonded the two sides together first. Then I used a single piece of leather. My machine groaned, but managed to sew it just fine!

This is beautiful! My friend Michelle did the same with her leather, with great results!

Carol, would you be willing to go into some more detail on how you constructed the leather bottom? (i.e. what does bonding the two sides together mean...)

This is sooo pretty, and I love the smaller size. Was it done at 85% of the original Tinkertote pattern?

Your tinker tote looks so great - the fabric is well chosen! The lining fits perfectly. Everybody must be asking you, where yo got it from. Just perfect! Thanks a lot for sharing.
