Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Classic Wonder Mold, plus a 8" cake for the base (or stack up enough cake and carve the dress out),Tinker Bell with the light-up wings,Fondant and Buttercream Icing,Icing bags, tips & couplersAir brush & coloring,1/2" foam core board for base.

What are you most proud of? This cake is not only pretty to look at but I left the button on the back of Tinkerbell exposed so the lights and music could still be played (the wand that came with it sometimes wouldnt work & I didnt have time to go back to the store to get another).

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure your doll so the depth of the cake is deep enough. Remember to wrap the doll in plastic wrap. Freeze your roses for easier placement - they thaw out fast so work quickly. Airbrushing gives the swirled icing more depth rather then using all one color of icing. If you cant afford an airbrush try using the canned spray colors - just be careful they spray out too fast and heavy - at least for me. When charging for this cake remember to include the cost of the doll - some dolls are pricey!!! Most of all you cant tell your customer enough times to keep the cake flat & steady when they transport it. Good thing Tinkerbell wasn't a Humpty Dumpty!!
