What advice would you give someone starting this project? I was terrified to "lose" my walking foot and "redesign" my darning foot to being free motion quilting. Just go for it! The possibilities re endless.

I love everything about this quilt. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Beth, thank you so much for you kind words. My daughter loves her quilt. We can count the times we've said that phrase to each other. My next art quilt is by special request. It will be a tree but in a halloween setting. I can't wait to get started! Thank you again.

Thank you! I love this one because it's so very personal to my daughter and I. It's a phrase that's been used so many times between us. Thank you again for your kind words.

This is beautiful! Someday when I get better at this, I want to do a tree silhouette just because I've always loved how they look in real life!

Thank you so much! I'm working on a tree silhoutte now but I've taken a different approach this time (I've committed to trying a new technique with every quilt). I'm doing a thread painting technique. I've actually printed the picture and I'm going to thread paint the entire tree and do some highlights in thread on other areas as well. Can't wait to see it finished. It will also be a quilted wall hanging.
