Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This was a vanilla wedding cake with vanilla buttercream covered in fondant. The building facade is made of fondant, as well as the minarets (towers), and domes. The four small domes have tea lights in them. The facades are hand painted with edible paint.

What are you most proud of? The architectural detail is my favorite part of this project because of my construction and architecture background.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time and find your favorite architectural details form the original building to focus on.

I did not use a mold. I sculpted the details out of fondant. The building itself is cake. I used styrofoam balls to make the domes and covered those with fondant.
