What was your inspiration?
I never thought I could do this! I've sewn flat (quilts, art pieces, etc, purses) for a number of years, but clothing eluded me. I had tried to make some easy to sew jacket patterns but was frustrated more often than not. For years I thought if I could do a tailored shirt, I could sew about anything ... so when I saw the class offered at a reasonable price, I signed up. I could not believe what a FANTASTIC teacher Pam is. Seriously ... her calm manner and the fact that she would completely sew each step and show the front and back so you could clearly see where ;you were going. SO ... end of the story is that my teacher Pam Howard is my inspiration. And, thank you Craftsy!
What are you most proud of?
Simply put, that I did it!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time watching the videos. Don't try to cram them all in quickly. And watch all the way through as many times as needed. Keep your laptop or ipad by the sewing machine when you actually get to sewing! Also, read through the questions / and answers of the students / teacher at each stage.
