Materials

Tahitian Black Cultured Fresh Water Pearls, flower-shaped; large purple crystal rondelles; 6 mm round peacock cultured fresh water pearls; and small silver rounds.

What was your inspiration?

While these unusual flower-shaped fresh water pearls are of the variety called Tahitian Black, they are actually peacock colored. Their color looks great with many different shades since they look at various times, peacock blue, blue-green, even purple and touches of gold. So, I matched them up with some large purple facted crystal rounds to add a little "bling" and the result is eye-catching. As a matter of fact, the very first time I wore the set, on the trial run I give all my jewelry projects, I sold the set right off my neck. That's happened before and it always inspires me to go home and make another jewelry project!

What are you most proud of?

That others appreciate my creations and that I can help my church because I donate all sale proceeds from my jewelry.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Look for the unusual bead to make something uniquely your own.
