What was your inspiration?
This dress is a replica of the competition dresses worn by the Skyliners Pre-Preliminary Synchronized skating team during the 2011-2012 season. The team dresses are designed and made by FreidaB. I made replicas of a few dresses for a silent auction fundraiser. This team skated to "lollipop" theme music.
What are you most proud of?
The details and the fact that it was a very popular item at the auction.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
get familiar with working with Lycra and be creative in finding materials to use for the details.
