What was your inspiration?

My husband is a retired church minister. I made this for him to hang in his church office. It was a birthday present for him.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first attempt at paper piecing. The blocks are 7 inch square. Each block contains many pieces, some of which are very tiny. The wall hanging is approximately 29 inches square. Each block is hand quilted (lap quilted) before being sewn together. Once the backing was added, I stitched in the ditch along the black strips. The backing is muslin. I was really pleased with the multi-colored border fabric. I thought it pulled all the colors together.

Beautiful, your borders do pull it together. I think that your borders make it look like a stained glass window. Your quilting is wonderful, what a treasure. Thank you so much for sharing.
