What materials did you use? I used Kidlin yarn.

What are you most proud of? I was very happy to have gotten the center line straight and learned how to do the flower edging. The edging was something I had not done before, and I found that when I followed the directions and watched the video, it was relatively easy to do. By the time I had done a few, it came naturally and easily. Thanks, Kristin for the wonderful instructions.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would say to watch the video all the way through on each step of the project. The videos are very clear and really explain the knitting clearly. They were an unbelievable help. I also loved that I can know have the video on my iPad! Now I can sit in the family room with my knitting and have the video right next to me on the couch. Thanks, Craftsy! I feel like the instructor is there right at my elbow as I am working through my project.

Thanks, and best of luck to you. Kristin is a wonderful teacher, and if you have any trouble, she is more than ready to answer your questions. I loved knitting this shawl and I'm thinking of doing a second one in a darker color for winter.

Dear PegVan, Thank you for your reply. I haven't started any shawl yet, but to my dismay, I signed up or the June Mystery, and of course is an "Ethereal" shawl! What was I thinking. Im in way over my head. Do you have a recommendation for yarn like you used in your beautiful shawl?

Hi rplstt, Sorry, I keep hitting the return key instead of the shift key!! Anyway, I used Kidlin yarn for my shawl, which is a very fine yarn with one strand of mohair and one of linen. I is rather thin and somewhat difficult for a beginner to use. If you are unsure, I would start with a little thicker yarn. See what they recommend for the mystery shawl and go with that to be safe, or at least go with the same weight. The courses usually give you a lot of help, so you should be fine. Good luck, and let me know how it turns out/1
