I didn't have too much trouble - I did make the front a little more modest by using less gathering and crossing the front pieces past the notches indicated on the pattern. I made the top and then tried it on to make sure it was going to lay right before putting on the skirt. I did have the make an adjustment after that due to my shoulder shape and wanting it to lay nicely against me. I really like it and love the print.
