What materials did you use? fabric, threads

What are you most proud of? One done, the second valance is ready to be finished. Almost there. A friend always asks me, "Is there anything you are happy with when you are done?" This time I can honestly say "YES! I am very happy with these!"

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Because of the thickness/size, I couldn't (didn't want to) keep turning the fabric in the machine to finish the piece. So I did LOTS of single lines all in the same direction. I feel good about attaching a separate casing. I don't think a standard cafe rod casing would work (a 2.5" hem, split) I think there is too much shifting of the fabric, so it would be hard to get a nice clean flat area.

Too cool!

This is simply gorgeous! What a wonderful way to display your beautiful work while being functional! I love this idea so much, I think I'll do it myself; it's the perfect addition to plain drapes or blinds. You should be incredibly proud!
