Instructions

I used a tumbler template to make the large "glass panels" switching them up and down for each row. I took some black binding and sewed in between each "tumbler". I continued this for all the rows. a quilting contest - I made this for a contest.

What are you most proud of?

How you can identify it when you first see it - as looking like Stained glass...

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The sewing of the black binding takes patience, so just take your time.

Beautiful! Did you use the binding as if it were another piece of fabric between the tumblers, or did you sew binding right over the joined seams of the tumblers? I'm relatively new to quilting and not up on all the tricks yet :)

Most of the time I sewed the binding over the sewn pieces - except for the outside borders - I used black strips of fabric
