What was your inspiration?
I'd seen a number of different stacked books design quilts on the web and decided to design my own version. I also wanted to use up as much of that ugly green print in the border as I could. I was able to use up a lot of scraps in colors and fabrics I didn't particularly like in this charity quilt top, but I like the design enough that I cut out enough white strips to use with other colors I think I'll like better in another top.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This would be a great beginner project, as there is no matching involved. That also makes for a fairly quick and easy charity quilt.
