assorted fabrics, Pellon, rotary cutter and mat, batting, pattern from magazine.

What was your inspiration?

Wanted to make my sister Connie a house-warming gift since she remodeled hers. I found this pattern and thought it suited her perfectly since she LOVES purple. I found it in McCall's Quilting Magazine, March/April 2013. Pages 80-82. Very easy and very quick to make. The instructions are very easy to follow.

What are you most proud of?

Finding the right thing for my sister who is kind of picky. Her place is kind of small, so this was the perfect size.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Find as many pastel colors as you can and use all of them. Sew a rod pocket on the back. I forgot to take a photo of mine but it has one and I will have to make adjustments if its not exactly straight because my sister does not sew, period. :)

thank you!! The magazine has the insert enclosed for tracing the patterns on the Pellon. This is probably one of the easiest applique jobs I have ever done. My sister LOVES it. I had to bring it back home to sew the sleeve on the back since she wouldn't touch it, heheee, so tomorrow I'm taking it back to her.
