What was your inspiration?
I designed this as part of my spring/summer collection fashion show for college. My inspiration for the collection was comic book illustration. I was drawn to the bright bold colours and the strong lines contained in the images. My goal was to create a collection that would not look out of place in comic illustrations or in a high fashion magazine yet still be fun and easy to wear.
What are you most proud of?
This was my first collection so to see it the whole collection on the catwalk on my models with hair and make up done was a great acheivement. I put a lot of work and effort into the collection focusing a lot on detail so im proud that I finished it all on time also!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The pleats featured on the dress were quite complicated to do. It took a lot of stitching - machine and hand to create them.
