Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Amy Butler Raincoat or hooded jacket (adult) Birch Street (childs) »

Instructions

I did not do buttonholes. I used big snaps instead.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Mod, Funky, Outdoorsy

Materials

Laminate fabric, chenille lining, self covered buttons

What was your inspiration?

The fabric was so bright and beautiful - The opposite of a dull rainy spring day. We live in a colder climate so I used a heavier and softer fabric for a comfy lining.

What are you most proud of?

The TONS of compliments that I've received. I wore it to the sewing show in Puyallap and I was stopped almost every 15 min!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Not to be afraid of laminate. It was easy to sew with and I really enjoyed making it.
