I was inspired by a Fons&Porter quilt called Amish Buggy Wheels, which appeared in an ad for a magazine subscription. I made my own paper-pieced pattern (my spokes aren't evenly sized) and added sashings. The back was difficult because of working with such large pieces, at bias angles. The one little circle is covering a flaw in the fabric.

I absolutely love this quilt!! The front reminds me of records or CDs. However, I ALSO love the K-State t-shirt I see on one of your quilt holders!! I went to KSU a few years ago...EMAW!!

Thanks for the compliment. My K-state holder is my son who graduated from KSU, and the other holder is his wife, who graduated from KU. My daughter graduated from WSU, so I guess we represent Kansas very well.

What a coincidence! I love your bag. My quilt guild has a lot of RNs in it--most of us are older, but it just goes to show you how nurses are creative (and have to be, to deal with the everyday challenges of the job!)
