What was your inspiration?
I just love fish. Most of the artwork in my home is fish. They are so pretty and I love to eat them too. This piece just started me going and I had no idea what colors were going to come into play. I just started by ironing on the pieces and then started sewing threads overtop of the lines.
What are you most proud of?
I am thrilled about the part where I was able to understand my new sewing machine and how to vary stitch lengths and widths.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't worry about what you will do, with a particular area of your art quilt...worry about that when you get there and it will all come together. Just dig in and start adding threads...enjoy and have lots of fun. ALSO, don;t expect to get this done all at one time, it takes days to complete.
