What materials did you use? Far quarters, various threads, vintage buttons, beads, free motion embroidery, reflective piping, spent ammo, twine, ribbon, vintage tatting

What are you most proud of? This project has been rolling around in my head for a while now. I'm glad I finally started it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just start stitching and slashing. You never know where it will take you!

What a wonderful piece of art. And you posted it on the Inauguration day of our President. So meaningful on many different levels. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm still layering, stitching, adding to it. I visited our local Army Surplus store for more items to add to the piece.

Carol Ann, I have just about completed this project. I have added more decorative stitching, trim, embroidery, and replica military patches/medals. I printed 2 pictures of Ray on muslin to add to the piece. I have not yet mounted it for display. I'm still working out my plan for that. I will probably include barbed wire, grenade pints, and wood.
