What was your inspiration?

My friend, Mimi, introduced this pattern to me on a trip to Italy. I love Fair-Isle type knits and I love using different colorways, so this pattern provided both opportunities to me.

What are you most proud of?

My favorite of the trio is the dark stripe yarn with the orange - the stripe is nice, if not a bit subdued and I loved the way the orange made the stripes pop! The striped yarn is a basic finger weight self-striping yarn and the orange is a baby yarn. At first I didn't know if the two would 'go' together, but once I started working this, I felt very inspired to finish the pair.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be bold in your color and yarn choices!
