Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Sewing With Knits: 5 Wardrobe Essentials »

Instructions

I wanted to try this dress in a sleeveless option. The clear elastic around the armholes was very easy to attach. The neckline worked better with this fabric than the pink dress I previously made. I also brought the bodice front pieces closer together so there is more crossover than the pattern instructs. I think I can wear this dress with no singlet underneath.

Wow, you've been busy! This style looks great on you. How did you bring the bodice pieces forward? Did you just re-draw the pattern pieces?

Thanks Zanna! No, I just used the same pattern pieces and instead of matching the corners to the notches, I just took them past the notches a little (maybe 1/2 inch). It did tend to pull the dress up a little in the centre where it meets the skirt, but I don't mind. You can hardly tell.
