What was your inspiration?

I've always wanted to knit lace, but have struggled with the projects I've attempted.

What are you most proud of?

That I didn't quit. This took me FOREVER.... Not because it was a hard project, but because I would choose the wrong times to work on it, make mistakes, & then procrastinate about fixing them and getting back on track. It's clearly not something I should have started during summer vacation and with a new puppy (see my model - now 10 mos. old and 70 lbs.). That said, I'm so glad I stuck with it. Laura is a wonderful teacher and I learned so much as I navigated my way through this project. There were times I swore I would never knit lace again. Yet, I've moved on to Clarus with enthusiasm!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Two things worth noting. First, I struggled with choosing my yarn. Though I love the color, the yarn is actually quite scratchy against my skin (it felt ok when I tested it briefly, but...). I wish I'd listened to Laura's recommendation and used a special, more luxurious yarn. Second, the shawl is quite small. I'm wearing it as a scarf with my winter coat. I wish I'd added a few extra rows of Plasma.
