Scraps of silk Dupioni, Sulky thread and a heavyweight double-sided fusible.
What was your inspiration?
My sweet friend Sarah loves silk. I received some bits and pieces in a bag of scrap fabric and decided to make her a bookmark!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Made using a heavy-weight double sided fusible inside and stitched the pieces on wherever they would fit. Each seam was finger pressed and then I used decorative stitches on my sewing machine to embellish.
