What was your inspiration?

I first created this design as a bag for myself ages ago for a grocery bag. Then I switched to a more open design for the many other bags I use. My mom looked at my old, over-stretched and pilly original and asked if I could make her one with that pattern. She liked that it wasnt so open, and thought that it would be perfect for shopping around New York City. I made one for her and one for my mormor. When I posted it on facebook, it was quite a hit. Now I have a few in a local shop. I made a couple in more colorful acrylic (one for me and one to sell).

What are you most proud of?

I have this pattern memorized and I use Fibonacci numbers when I make it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice with hats first.
