I used a couple different Arkansas Crossroads pattern pictures to decide that instead of having the x's white like one of my examples, they would be solid colors and maybe a print here and there and the the Kansas Dugouts on them would be white and that would given the secondary pattern a little punch. This quilt is made up of Robert Kaufman Kona White, Free Spirit Fabrics Design Essentals Bold and Spot and Solids. Valorie Wells Butterfly and Moth Cocoon, and Amy Butlet's Gypsy Caravan.
What was your inspiration?
My daughter in law.
What are you most proud of?
That I let them pick what they wanted, even though I would have done something different.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's a lot of cutting, and it's a good middle of the road project to progress from precuts and kits before you start cutting triangles and other more difficult shapes.
