I used Peaches & Creme cotton and some good ol' scratchy Red Heart yarn for the dark teal. Came out tough and great! I modified this pattern a little so that I could crochet in the round as a continuous spiral instead of rows, thereby avoiding that dreaded "hole" that comes with starting a new row.
