Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I used what I have learned in Nicholas Lodge's course about roses, the Modern Buttercream course and the new Wilton Buttercream courses as guides in helping me with an idea for this cake. Since the client requested a Tres Leches cake, I needed to be able to use a technique that would look beautiful, but would allow me not to have to cover the cake in buttercream. I used gum paste to make the flowers, butterflies and martini glasses, I also made a plaque that I was going to write "Happy Birthday" on but with the time constraint it didn't dry in time. This client ordered this cake from me two days before her daughter's birthday!

What are you most proud of? The entire cake looked so beautiful, and thanks to the many techniques I have learned since I have become a "Craftsy-pastry chef" I am able to get ideas, and draw on inspiration both from the classes, but also from the incredible students on here!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I am so hard on myself, even though everyone reminds me that I am very good at what I do. I would have to say believe in yourself and your God-given talent. Watch the vidoes, look through other people's photos and don't duplicate them, but get inspired to create your own style!
