This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Beginner Serging: Machine Basics & Techniques »

Instructions

Use the handouts given in the first lesson and work on your samples. Then document adjustments you need to make for your unique serger model. The handouts are very helpful and easy to fill out. You don't have to guess the settings next time you are serging on similar fabrics.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Traditional

Materials

Handouts from Beginning Serging Class with Amy Alan

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do your homework and fill these forms out as you are delving into new decorative stitches. It can be tricky when you switch from a rolled hem to a flatlock, so with your stitch book at hand you save a lot of time when figuring out why your stitches are off!!
