What materials did you use? Scraps given to me by a friend and SIL.

What are you most proud of? Ugh. I broke a needle on a zipper and fixed it right away. I cut the 18" length to 13" by mistake and fixed it with lining fabric and creative stitching, also flipped the small piece bad side up for more contrast. It looks like it was on purpose; make it work, right?

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Hmm. A liner is something that draws a line not something that lines a bag. She does call the drawing tool a liner, but when I saw it written down I was confused (normal).

Your "oops" does look like it was on purpose! No one will ever know (except me and everyone else on Craftsy who you just told). ;) The bag looks great! I'm sorry again about the confused about the "liner". I hadn't noticed that was listed on the instructions as being needed for the bag. I do love that tool, but it's not something you have to have to make this. Did you serge over that zipper? Yikes! Those teeth look too big for the blade and needles to stitch over, but that may just be the photo making the zipper teeth look larger. I usually go for the smallest and softest coil I can find.

That answers the question about why that was such a pain in my serger! I like big teeth. Nothing to be sorry about on the liner. It was just a funny sortie. Language is funny; right? When would you ever call a pencil a graphite liner?
