Materials

I used 100% Cotton Scraps from my stash

What was your inspiration?

I took the Block of the month 2012 class and wanted to play a little before using my precious newbought fabrics. So I made the February Chunky Chevron Block our of scraps. My mother recently mentioned she could use a cute little bag to organize her tote - et voil!

The blues where pretty but a little boring, so I purchased a little strip of red fabric and a red zipper to spice it up.

What are you most proud of?

I'm proud that I remembered the assembling steps correctly from the first bag I made

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Measure twice, cut once...

Very, very cute! I love the pop of red against the blue chevrons, and I like the way the zipper is "hidden" inside the red fabric. I'm sure your mother loved it!

Why, thank you! It was so much fun, I'm afraid I'm hooked to quiltmaking :).
