Instructions

My mother made this double quilt out of curtain materials and because it became so heavy she just backed it with a large sheet and left the wadding out. Believe me it it very warm without the filling and I can still wash it in the washing machine.

I`m sorry it`s one my mother made out of scrap curtains. It is made from half square triangles and in the centre of the made up block is a 2 inch square which is just placed on top of the work, just zig zag stitch around this square. There is no wadding in this quilt just a sheet as a backing.

A brilliant idea! I think I may now go in search of curtains! This is a really practical quilt as well as being a very pretty one.
