What materials did you use? Cotton plaids and shirting fabrics, cotton solids for doggies, Warm and Natural batting, Cotton muslin backing. Buttons for bow ties.

What are you most proud of? The plaid and striped fabrics used in the 'bow tie' blocks were all cut from 'repurposed' men's shirts from the thrift stores. I went to the thrift shop on a day when you got a 'bag for a buck' and got enough shirts for the whole quilt, with much fabric to spare (which I used in another quilt). Shirting fabric is beautiful in quilts because the thread count is high, and it holds up well to hand quilting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun.

:How cute! and it's pieced! I don't applique much...so I'm not so good at....therefore, when I see a pieced picture block...I'm thrilled! Wonderful job!

Love it.......do you have patterns for other breeds of dogs?

I found this pattern years ago, and don't even remember which book it was in. I will try to locate some other patterns for piecing other breeds. I know that the "Quilter's Cache' has tons of paper pieced patterns and there might be one there that would interest you. This is the link: http://www.quilterscache.com/
