What are you most proud of? I have learned about my sewing machine so that I have been able to make two knit tops in two days.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it and complete the projects. The projects are designed to teach you just about everything that you need to create items in knits. Knits are very different that woven fabrics.

Your comment is exciting. I hope to learn how to sew knits on my Bernina 1230 by making the projects. All my sewing has been on wovens.

I'm like you. I was afraid to try knits. Meg really explains it very well so it is easy and so are the patterns.

Your top sits beautifully. Well done.

Nice top.I've been sewing knits for years, only these days I have problems finding the knit fabrics. All we have is joann's fabrics, and I think we all know they hardly have any knits suitable for clothing. So having said that,do you know of an online source for t-shirt knits?? If so can/will you share it. Thanks Kathi

I would love to help you, but I seldom order fabric on line and only quilting fabric, not fabric for clothing.

Thanks, that's ok.Our fabric stores are becoming less and less.I worked in a fabric store for 10 years during the 90,and we used to get some very nice knits, but alas, the store closed all the branches in S.Calif. The shirt you have on is the kind I used to make by the dozens for my sisters and I. You did very well with yours. Tfs kathi

Many thanks for your kind remarks. I know what you mean about fewer fabric shops. I live in Toronto with population of 2.5 million and we have about a dozen fabric shops and 2 quilt shops. My local quilt shop is an hour's dire from home.

Thanks for the reply. Happy Mothers Day Kathi
