What was your inspiration?

Attempting to save on the high cost of buying annual plants for your container gardening each year -Last season I planted some oriental iris in the center of my large containers on the patio that kept me from having to purchase "spikes" or filler annuals this season.

What are you most proud of?

Using perennials did create a lovely planter - possibly even more unique than buying costly annuals again this season.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Plant some perennial plants in your containers this season and next season you will need to only add one or 2 annuals.

What zone are you in? I am wondering if zone 4 would do okay with perennials.

This is easy and will really help in the cost of your container gardening!
