What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? This was taken on a dreary misty day in the woods not far from our house. I came upon these Saddle Cap mushrooms literally growing out of this tree limb laying in the woods. I liked the colors, light and texture in the photograph and the hint of green in the upper left corner gives you a feeling that this is in a wooded area.

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? I used a 28-105mm zoom, 1/25 at f 4.5 with a tripod at ground level.

This is a great little detail of nature. The horizontal crop works well. The gentle light does a nice job of showing off the mushrooms. I think you are exactly right that the little patch of green is important to give setting as well as a little depth. There is just the right amount of green there, too. More would make it a distraction.
