What was your inspiration?
I love rustic themes and the person ordering the cake wanted pillars to make it look much bigger but I don't like seeing pillars and it doesn't go with a rustic theme so I thought of Colette's cage technique to cover the unsightly pillars.
What are you most proud of?
That it all actually worked out and I only had to repair as opposed to remaking the cages....Very Delicate!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
PRACTICE! Colette Peter's class makes piping royal icing a breeze! I used to be soooo intimidated now after Colette's class I want to pipe on everything!
