What are you most proud of? The fun design. The stork is on a mission - to deliver a royal child - he flies as straight as an arrow. He is also constructed using a very easy strip-applique method so there is no fiddling around with beaks or tail feathers.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Not all storks have white feathers - some are grey or tan. Not all beaks are yellow either - the white stork traditionally has ared beak. Nobody will mind if your stork is lilac or lemon or beige. This mug rug can be made from scraps of fabric so play around with colour and have some fun.

Is that a premonition (a blue wrap for a prince) - looks gorgeous

No premonition. I would like a princess so that history can be made (she will succeed to the throne regardless of any male siblings). But just so long as mother and baby are fit and well I will be very happy with either. We should know in the next week I think.
