Summer House - Moda - layer cakes and jelly rolls
What was your inspiration?
My daughter and her roommate are moving into an apartment this year so she asked if I could make some matching quilt - with different backings. They picked Summer House (great fabrics).
What are you most proud of?
The mix and match of the colors/fabric. Using Layer cakes really makes it easy.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you use nylon thread - make sure you get good quality. After the first quilt and the thread tensing up so much and getting caught - I went to my local sewing shop and got thread from them. Not one pull on the thread for the second quilt. Saved about 1 hours of time in making the sandwich.
