What was your inspiration?
I'd seen an episode of Project Runway from ages ago where one of the contestants wore a one-shouldered scarf top to the judging panel; ever since then, I knew I wanted to recreate something like it in knitting.
What are you most proud of?
I love how the whole top stays up without any straps or elastic; the negative ease in the bust area and the weight of the scarf keeps everything in place. You can also tie the scarf in front, if you're nervous!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is such a quick knit! The detailing of the lace and neckline shaping is pretty interesting, but once you get past that it's all stockinette. You'll have one finished in no time at all!
