I have quite a few skirts now using the pattern from this class. But I have found I need some modifications. I have large hips and a smaller waist so cut a Large for the skirt and a Medium for the waist. Also I don't find I like the fold over band so much on me (I like how it looks, but it always rides right up or unfolds) so I now cut it in half and make a casing for some wide elastic. This is much more stable and comfortable for me. The other modification is a zippered pocket at the centre back. I use these skirts for running (with skins underneath), I find that because I have very full upper thighs shorts always ride up and are very uncomfortable, but because I have asthma which has been a bit unstable lately I can not go out without my phone and ventolin, so I need pockets! I have played around with a few ideas and this is my latest idea a slot zipper in the centre back. I was hoping to try it out this weekend but my lungs are giving me grief again :(
