What are you most proud of? Finally finishing the quilt. I broke my wrist last year just as the quilt was about 4 ft square, then had to rest in between stitching sessions due to the strain on my wrist.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It doesn't matter how long it takes to make anything.

beautiful love the colours , I spend the winter hand sewing my japanese cathedral window quilt, took me several years to find the right fabrics and so far 6 months to sew ....and a fair way to go. Totally inspired to pick it up again seeing your beautiful quilt. awesome job well done !

Its gorgeous! How did you put the boarders on since the cathedral windows finish themselves.? I love it!

Thanks, I put the banding on like a normal patchwork quilt one side, then attached the white on the back the same it was fiddly I added the wadding and finished it of. Hard to explain, just to say luckily it all worked out fine, I think the banding finishes it off and my Daughter is delighted with it, the only problem is it is very heavy.

This is definatrly a quilt you have to put down. I started one 25 years ago and still pick it up. About 75% finished.
