This is a sweater pattern I have knit before, but I wasn't happy with the result back then. With my newly acquired skills I thought I'd give it another go. I made several modifications, based on my personal K2F recommendations, including moving the central cable motif down from its original placement. This way it is centered at my personal waistline pulling in the sweater to emphasize my waist. A lot better than the original design (where the motif would have pulled in the sweater across my breast). Very happy with the result!

It's beautiful!! I hope you don't mind my asking, but where could I find the original pattern? There are several gorgeous sweaters that I would like to try my hand at and this is definitely one of them!!! Thanks :-)

Love the changes you described - it's excellent on you!! I can see where that knot in front could be trouble if not fit correctly. You nailed it!!!

I made this sweater in the past, but want to make another one that is longer so that I can wear it in the country where I now live :)

The pattern is originally from an old Interweave Knits, but as far as I know it is now available in the Interweave online store. This is the Ravelry link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gathered-pullover
