What was your inspiration?
I love Jenny Doan's tutorials! I have watched many of her YouTube videos and also purchased both Quilting Quickly I and II on Craftsy. I am a beginner in sewing/quilting and I knew Jenny would guide me through the process step by step.
What are you most proud of?
At age 51, I purchased my first sewing machine about 6 weeks ago and I am teaching myself to sew. I absolutely love it! This is my first start-to-finish quilt and I can't believe how great it turned out. The girls at work can't believe I am a newbie to sewing...neither can I! I will be making many more of these.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be careful when you are snipping the edges on the quilt. I snipped a bit too far in a few places and had to re-sew a few seams that came loose after washing/drying it.
